| Description: | 'Paul Dickerson: As Art' was the first major exhibition devoted to the artist’s work since a posthumous exhibition organised in 1998. Born in Chicago, Dickerson (1961-1997) was a New York-based artist who pursued different and overlapping practices, from combined and transformed found objects, to wall works reduced in colour and shape, to drawing. Despite his untimely death, Dickerson’s work remains relevant to contemporary art practice and provides a fascinating perspective on American art of the 1980s and 90s. |
