Shades down in Tokyo Town

Fernandes was commissioned by curator Sofia Hedman and artistic director Karolina Kling to photograph still life images of original spectacles and sunglasses created by specially commissioned artists, designers and craftsmen from Europe and Japan. The photographs appeared within an online PDF catalogue of the aforementioned exhibition. The catalogue, edited by fashion curator, researcher and archivist Gemma A. Williams, presented essays, conversations and reflections from leading theorists, artists, researchers and curators.
