| Description: | Fortcoming publication on self portrait project at Arnolfini: Over the course of Arnolfini’s 50th anniversary year, artist Neil Cummings will be working with us to develop a series of self-portraits of Arnolfini using information from our archive. Presented throughout the building, these data portraits will expand throughout the year, piecing together aesthetic and economic trends as Arnolfini has grown from a small commercial gallery above a bookshop to one of Europe’s most significant contemporary centres for the arts. The portrait will continue beyond the present, enabling us to speculate on our possible futures. Neil Cummings is an artist and professor at Chelsea College of Art and Design and a member of Critical Practice. He is resident at Arnolfini throughout 2011.
