Re:Public/Towards an art for the public realm

Smith, Donald (2010) Re:Public/Towards an art for the public realm. [Show/Exhibition]

Type of Research: Show/Exhibition
Creators: Smith, Donald
Description:

Donald Smith was the curator of this exhibition.

In this exhibition I sought to explore the complex relationship between artist, architect, commissioning bodies and art consultancies, local authorities and audiences/users. Some projects shown are completed and are in situ and some, such as those by Mark Titchner, Mark Wallinger and Richard Wilson, were proposals that had either been rejected or were awaiting funding.
