| Description: | A special event held in the ballroom of the British Council Lisbon in collaboration with Cooking Lab, a team of molecular gastronomists. The event marked the conclusion of the fellowship with the Gulbenkian Science Insititute and introduced a new range of micro-botanically inspired designs for porcelain tableware produced in collaboration with the Portuguese manufacturer Vista Alegre Atlantis. An invited audience of guests drawn from the Arts, Sciences, Politics, Media and Curating were served a specially prepared gastronomic meal on the porcelain plates. In this way the porcelain diner service became the agent which brought together a diverse audience whose paths do not always cross, for the function of discussing Art & Science. |
