Description:

In this chapter, we outline the underpinning principles of study support in two of the five colleges of the London Institute, and identify the micro-politics of implementation, thereby focusing on the process of moving policy to practice. We illuminate this outline with other examples from North America to illustrate that this is an international rather than local issue. Our key argument is that study support must be understood by staff and students, effectively situated or ganizationally and firmly linked within the wider institution. For these topics we offer some analysis and reflection based on our experience.
