Learning with Industry

Sollis, Robert and Waller, Tracey and Clifton, Darryl (2016) Learning with Industry. In: Graphic Design Educators' Network: Exploring Territories, 8–9 September 2016, Cardiff University.

Type of Research: Conference, Symposium or Workshop Item
Creators: Sollis, Robert and Waller, Tracey and Clifton, Darryl
Description:

This presentation looked at how industry and education co-exist and learn from each other in and around the BA (Hons) Graphic Design course at Camberwell College of Arts. Looking at case studies and a discussion on the course philosophy it explored and challenged the relationship that education has with the graphic design profession.

Exploring Territories, the Graphic Design Educators’ Network second annual conference explored the physical, intellectual and existential terrain of our learning and teaching. Speakers included Brave New Alps, Darryl Clifton + Tracey Waller + Europa and Derek Yates + Mat Heinl (Moving Brands) in conversation. Over two days participants experienced tutor led workshops, papers and poster presentations, themed roundtable discussions, social events and met graphic design educators from across the UK and beyond.
