Type of Research: Show/Exhibition
Creators: Broach, Zowie and Kirkby, Brian
Description:

Boudicca were asked to take part in the Fashioning the Object exhibition at The Art Institute of Chicago by Zoe Ryan, the in-house Curator, to exhibit alongside BLESS and Sandra Buckland, all 3 design labels independent and started in the late 1990’s.The designers were given a space and asked to provide work from their archive which showcased Boudicca’s intellectual approach to fashion. The designers chose moving image as a key theme for the work, they planned the exhibition set up in the UK using a to-scale maquette and then helped to set the show up in Chicago. The videos are timed to settle on a still image at the same time, the still images focus on key moments and images for Boudicca. The space was planned meticulously and is very atmospheric, smell, sound and touch help the visitor to experience Boudicca.
