Changemakers: Disrupting the Discourse

This case study explores my personal and professional evolution as a creative professional and educator who chose to leave behind a financially independent, well-rooted career to begin again in a different country.

LCC Community Radio is a student-led, staff-supported community broadcast initiative rooted in the principles of decolonial communication. It challenges extractive, top-down models of media by reclaiming oral storytelling, collective authorship, and sound-based knowledge as tools for justice and creativity.

In this creative brief, I was tasked with creating a new look for the LCC Changemakers which involved creating a new poster, stylising a pdf report, creating a pitch deck for an upcoming launch event, and creating graphic assets for the website.

This project explored how emotional and sensory experiences could reshape social justice reflection in educational contexts. Starting with a question — how do we visualise transformation? — Our team investigated alternatives to traditional evaluation methods, such as forms and surveys.

The Wall Project is an initiative to transform the 7th-floor walls of the Tower Block of LCC into vibrant, interactive displays showcasing student work addressing social justice topics.

Education Inqilab is a digital research YouTube channel hosting video essays to decolonise education, explore social justice, and empower creators. Blending theory, storytelling, and performative methodologies, the channel turns research into accessible, visual learning experiences for all.
