Description: | Commissioned to develop a multimedia installation for the festival theme ‘Pictures in Motion’, focusing on the relationship between the still and the moving image and how one practice informs the other in terms of technique, aesthetic and exhibition. ‘Section 4 Part 20: One day on a Saturday’, produced in collaboration with multimedia editor Anna Stevens, explores levels of complicity surrounding the detention camps at Guantanamo Bay, using material gathered from detainees, guards, interrogators and ordinary people. The installation is set in the Council Chamber – a symbolic site of both democracy and authority. This is a two minute extract of the finished film. The Council Chamber, Berwick Town Hall, Berwick, Northumberland |
