A keynote lecture given at Robothon, a triennial conference on font software and technology. The theme of Robothon 2018 was DIY and this presentation explored the themes of agency and redundancy within contemporary graphic design contexts with a particular emphasis on the relationship of these ideas with the potential in design approaches grounded within practices of ‘thinking-through-making’.
