The works exhibited were re-staged at Diaspora Pavilion, Palazzo Pisani Santa Marina, Venice, 13 May – 27 November 201, and Diaspora Pavilion, Wolverhampton Art Gallery, UK, 10 Feb – 29 April 2018. Earlier versions of the work were presented in 'Golden' and 'Golden (Lessons)' two solo exhibitions at Chinese Arts Centre, Manchester and Beaconsfield Contemporary Art, London, in 2006.

Golden (2005-present) is an ongoing project comprising a series of works across video, installation, sound, performance, text, and improvised participatory live events. The project seeks to explore nostalgia, aspiration, and possibilities for a critical aesthetics and poetics of place in diaspora. Works (listed as individual Art/Design items) include: Vistas (2005, video triptych); Songs I-VI (2005-17, audio interludes); Years (2006, 2-channel video); Lessons (2006, installation and live events); Golden Hour (2006, audio and broadcast); Mobile Ballroom (2006); Mobile Chorus (2006, 2014, 2017); Golden (Notes) (2007, artist book); Untitled (Pavilion) (2017, installation); Untitled (Shower) (2017, installation); Untitled (West) (2018, installation).
