Description:	This paper presents interim progress of the HEREWEAR project in developing a method for designing out impacts as part of a collaborative and ongoing process between design researchers, commercial designers and environmental scientists. The aim is to support optimal and iterative decision making concerning materials and processes, acknowledging their high levels of uncertainty in relation to design choices. This work explores bridging the methodological gaps between environmental science and product development in brands through design research interventions.
