Description: | I designed this exhibition broadsheet for Maureen Salmon – Guest Curator of Decolonising the Arts Curriculum Project. The 'Made in Jamaica’ exhibition was part of practice-led Knowledge Exchange project ‘Disruptive Leadership: Creating Sustainable Global Futures’ 2018–2021. The exhibition was a collection of artefacts, books and articles marking significant tipping points in Maureen Salmon's career and leadership practices that evidence the need for a decolonisation of the curriculum and include diversity of cultural references. In-line with London College of Communication Design School manifesto pledges, one of which is ‘We believe in the value of interrogating the past to shape our futures’ Salmon believes decolonising the curriculum is a journey, not a destination that requires transformative educational and cultural leadership strong in emotional capital. |
