| Description: | Composed for dual cassette Speak To Me, I'm Listening explores the use of cassette and cassette player's as both compositional tools and performance medias. Countering production and recording methods that offer endless multitracking the work explores the linearity of single track cassette tape as a way to reimagine multi-tracked arrangements. Working across two cassettes and two cassette players the work reimagines mutlti-tracking as a spatialised process emerging via the very medias in which the work was recorded and performed. The work was part of the SoundArts Lab residency in Struer, Denmark. |
