| Description: | Listening Forward is an interactive web instrument for exploring speculative soundscapes through artistic annotation and machine learning. The work combines environmental recordings, artistic annotation and scenario tagging, machine-learning-based audio analysis, and an interactive tuning interface through which listeners can explore relationships between recorded sounds and possible sonic futures. The work develops a practice-based approach in which computational analysis and artistic listening operate together within the compositional process.
