Description: | 70 x 7 The Meal is an ongoing performative artwork and event that interprets the biblical signification meaning Ad Infinitum (70 x 7 x, Lc. 17,4) a pretext for networking guests who are invited to dine in surprising installations. The 32nd event in the series takes place in the courtyard of the MAXXI Rome's national art museum in the form of a charity dinner for 300 guests in support of the cancer research conducted by the Fondazione Umberto Veronesi. Specially for the event, Lucy + Jorge Orta have created a limited edition of Royal Limoges porcelain and designed the setting for a performance that takes place throughout the evening to raise awareness for the cancer prevention campaign: Prevention through Alimentation. |
