Memento mori

Kreider, Kristen and O'Leary, James (2010) Memento mori. Performance Research: A Journal of the Performing Arts, 15 (1). ISSN 13528165/14699990

Type of Research: Article
Creators: Kreider, Kristen and O'Leary, James
Description:

A series of word-and-image composites relating to Isola di San Michele (‘Island of the Dead’) in Venice, Italy; Daigh Bhríde (St. Brigid’s Well) in Liscannor, County Clare, Ireland; and a burial site in Tenryu-ji in Ukyo Ward, Kyoto, Japan. The work is a poetic meditation on death as much as an anthropological documentation of three culturally-specific sites of mourning.

Memento Mori is published as a series of artists’ pages in Performance Research.
