Type of Research: Show/Exhibition
Creators: Rossi, Mario

Heaven and Hell: The thing from another world, Bikini Beach, 0º Celsius, Hotel Poseidon, Gemini Hawaiian Drifter, Village of the Damned and 100 endings.

The two panels presented are ‘single image random dot diagrams’ which are computer generated from data collected in this cabinet and drawn from a number of painting studio projects.

In order to view the work three dimensionally you should stand on the circles marked on the floor, these are intended only as an approximate guide depending on individual eyesight. You can either focus at a point beyond the picture surface or slightly cross your eyes till your vision locks with the visual matrix. The work continues an exploration of painting, context and process streaming.

Art in romney marsh 2010 returns for a fourth year. It is a contemporary arts project providing an opportunity for artists to create site specific work in response to the inspiring medieval churches of Romney Marsh. Romney Marsh is located in a unique landscape on the south east tip of the Kent coastline, within easy reach of Ashford, Rye and Hastings. The juxtaposition of contemporary art and the ancient church sites creates an opportunity for an exciting dialogue between the ancient and modern.
