Wild, Michelle (2010) Elemental. [Show/Exhibition]

Type of Research: Show/Exhibition
Creators: Wild, Michelle

The natural characteristics of materials that come from the earth can reveal varied and fascinating identities. Taken by makers and manipulated, nuances develop and a material can be revealed in a new way. Looking at ceramic, paper, metal, textiles and wood, Elemental shows the work of makers particularly interested in exploiting the inherent qualities of their chosen materials. Sometimes this means materials revealed in their most natural form – while others manipulate the characteristics we know to make new revelations of form and surface.
