While this paper will only have an immediate impact as far as supporting trans students at UAL, however, it may be used as the basis for further more wide-reaching outputs in supporting transgender people.

The Equality and Diversity Forum gives staff and students the opportunity to discuss activities outlined in UAL's Equality & Diversity Framework and to help shape ways forward. The next meeting in May 2011 will focus discussion on trans issues and contribute to the development of UAL Transgender Guidance. This guidance is being developed in response to the expansion of equalities legislation under the Equaliy Act 2010.
