| Description: | The chapter incorporates visual and textual material derived from a study for an art installation project. The study was realized with the assistance of the Felix Trombe Solar furnace at the Centre National de Recherche Scientifique, Odeillo France. The research builds on previous work by David Cross connecting visual culture to sustainable development, specifically the relationship between solar technology and photographic apparatus. In the context of accelerating climate damage, the work applies cultural theory to imaging technology in order to stimulate debate on matters of international public concern, and to identify obstacles to behavioural change. |
