Closeness, Distance and the Politics of Practice was the theme of July’s summer seminar at CREAM (Centre of Research and Education in Arts and Media, University of Westminster).

Intimacy has been one of the touchstones in recent thinking about discourses of power relations and ideas about closeness and distance are underlined in the work of the speakers at this event. Guest speaker Jon Cairns presented a talk titled ‘Feeling the Way – Art, Affect and Value.’
