| Description: | Essay for the Central Saint Martins Degree Show catalogue for BA Fine Art. This limited edition book entitled 'Concrete Burns' is a showcase of the BA Fine Art cluster groups which have drawn on the relationships between the Granary Building and the students, accompanied with essays by Gustav Metzger, Paul O’Kane and Gabrielle de la Puente. The publication features commissioned photographic series by Joshua Tabti – one of BA Fine Art graduates who responded to an open call, which encouraged students to reflect on the title ‘Concrete Burns’, as well as to the environment of the Kings Cross campus at-large. The resulting series captures both outdoor and indoor scenes from a viewpoint of an estranged insider – overlooking the moments when encounters between the building and the students occur. |
