Keynote Speech: Object Theatre

The talk opened the 'Theatre in Design' Symposium at the University of Southern Denmark, Kolding, Denmark.

The symposium explored how product design might be used to help with issues of mobility for the elderly. My keynote analyzed the idea of objects having agency in performance and how such agency could be utilized to address the issue. In addition to the keynote, I ran an opening workshop demonstrating the power of the object as conveyer of meaning and how it could be used to gain further understanding of complex human issues.
