Cobbing, William (2015) 'What Are Words Worth?'. [Performance]
Type of Research: | Performance |
---|---|
Creators: | Cobbing, William |
Description: | A live performance at Cafe OTO, commissioned by Kammer Klang for their 'Might Be Silent / Won't Be Clean' event. The performance involved Cobbing writing text into wet clay (based on the lyrics of 1980's song Wordy Rappinghood by the new wave band Tom Tom Club). The lyrics humorously question the value of words, and their use and abuse. Transcribing this into clay added an abject physical dimension to the original score. |
