Description: | Studio Houndstooth is Philippa Brock & Jo Pierce, textile and material future researchers and designers. On setting up their Studio they developed their ludic ‘Houndstooth’ methodology as co-investigators/designers, to form their studio manifesto, risk-taking and design-thinking approach. Houndstooth Parquet: 32:64 is a result of their personal method workshops. Using the ubiquitous houndstooth textile motif, The Houndstooth Project grew as their viral, playful, egalitarian launch project, becoming the starting point for making projects for everyone and anyone. Printed fabric examples made for this project are by June Fish and Tansy Hamley, technicians at Central Saint Martins. Studio Houndstooth run workshops, have fulfilled several commissions and are currently working on their ‘Wallpaper Project’ database/wall. |
