| Description: | 'Don’t Tempt Me' was an exhibition for I Saloni, Milan (2001), funded by the Design Council, to demonstrate what the application of research into Design Against Crime (DAC) could deliver. The exhibition featured my original research into bag theft, the 'In the Bag' CD-Rom, a design resource that was subsequently “reprinted” three times (2001, 2002 and 2005), and which uniquely focussed on secure product design, rather than built environments. 'Don’t Tempt Me' showed at 'Spring Primavera', Barcelona (May 2001), and my bag theft research, now revised and updated, is available to view at www.inthebag.org.uk (2007). 'Don’t Tempt Me' included Stop Thief chairs, which I catalysed (100%) and co-designed (33%). These chairs later featured at subsequent exhibitions, including the 'Safe' exhibition at the Museum of Modern Art, New York (2005); acquired for MOMA’s permanent collection in 2006. |
