| Description: | This article argues for institutional experimentation as one of the most "live" concerns of contemporary, post-conceptual artistic practices. Rather than gaining autonomy by virtue of "escaping" the institution, it is argued, artists should work through institutional mores in order to negotiate an artistic autonomy that is not understood as divorced from the social. |
