Description: | 3,000 word paper and poem written and presented in the Southwark Room, 5th Floor, Blavatnik Building, TATE Modern, for 'Studio Complex' - CSM/TATE-Exchange - January 20th, 2018. The paper described my own experiences of living in a studio for seven years, and the special relationship this developed in the 'space between art and life'. I also talked about a poem I had written then and which I re-wrote for this occasion. Finally, I described an artwork by the artist Bada Song in which she turned the loss of her studio into a socially engaged art event. |
