| Description: | 'The News' was a solo exhibition by Toby Christian curated by David Dale Gallery, Glasgow, hosted at Swimming Pool, Sofia. The exhibition was the second of a series of exchanges between the two organisations, following on from the exhibition It is Forever Ours, which Swimming Pool curated at David Dale Gallery in the summer of 2017. Christian’s exhibition was a large-scale installation that extended the reflexive nature between his writing and sculptural processes. The domestic gallery space was here transformed through a cladding of knotted Bulgarian newspaper, among which he sited new stone sculpture and writing. |
