Description:	ERIS—2000 is a project exploring the impact of decisions on complex systems, it takes the form of a simulation of a fictitious scientific instrument from 1971, and a surrounding narrative of its use and creation, presented via a ‘discovered’ informational video from Birmingham Polytechnic. It uses the technology, aesthetics and concerns of that time to highlight particular parts of complex systems that would be more difficult to show now with ubiquitous computing and networked devices.
