Audiable Audience

Collaborative audio performance with Ben Cain. Commissioned by Radio City, Tate Britain, London.

RadioCity was a special season of participatory radio, sound art, performance and broadcast at Tate Britain.

For Ben Cain’s and Tina Gverovic’s Audible Audience, RadioCity became a recording studio, a listening centre and an archive. Over a two-day period, visitors were invited to add a short piece of sound to an evolving, looping, ultimately infinitely layered piece of collaborative music that employed repetitive structures.

Tina Gverovic’s work – often in the form of immersive, disorientating installations – engages with space, territory and identity and how these concepts are bound to
invention and imagination.
Ben Cain is primarily involved in the production of installations, vinyl records, performances and printed matter, which deal with the convergence of theatre and documentary information.
