| Description: | Invited as a speaker to present a psychoanalytically-informed contribution to the event Das Träumen on the occasion of the Jason Rhoades retrospective - Four Roads - at the BALTIC Centre for Contemporary Art, 2015. The presentation was a response to the installation in which the event took place - 'Creation Myth' 1998 (an installation of the artist's brain). This was approached through the perspective of psychosis: words as objects; broken signifying chains; lack of repression, etc. and contextualised with reference to writing on art and culture by Jerry Salz & Fredric Jameson. |
