| Description: | The work is a response to Enzo Mari’s Sedia 1 from the 1974 do it yourself design manual, Autoprogettazione. The quilt covering the chair depicts the components and tools used to create the chair in a state before assembly through patchwork, embroidery and quilting. By covering the Sedia 1 chair, the emphasis is shifted from the iconic object itself to the thinking behind it namely comtemplation through making. |
