Description:	Gums are polysaccharides that have long been used in the food, pharmaceutical and cosmetic industries for their stabilisation properties and rheological and textural characteristics. They are also biodegradable and are produced by sustainable processes. This project aimed to evaluate the effects of different types of natural gums on the rheological and textural properties of cosmetic emulsions in order to explore, and potentially promote, their use as sustainable raw materials.
