Description: | Mobile Ballroom was a flash-mob inspired performance/intervention that took place at the close of Golden (Lessons) (2006), a solo exhibition and research residency at Beaconsfield, London, punctuated by a series of live events. Golden (Lessons) took up motifs of ballroom and song as vehicles of nostalgia, aspiration and cultivation, continuing an ongoing series of work developed under the rubric Golden. Mobile Chorus was first performed on 18 October 2006, at the opening of Golden (Lessons), a solo exhibition and research residency at Beaconsfield, London. It was later performed at MAI, Montreal Arts Culturel (12 April 2014); and at the close of Diaspora Pavilion (26 November 2017). |
