Description: | Pulp-It was first disseminated in the public realm at the exhibition:‘Fashioned from Nature’, V&A Museum, London (21 April 2018–27 January 2019), the first UK exhibition exploring the complex relationship between fashion and nature from 1600 to the present day. Following an invitation from V&A curator Edwina Ehrman to showcase the research as one of 10 ‘future-facing’ exhibits, the display comprised 1 commissioned garment piece, 12 material samples (consisting of 2 distinct material ‘recipes’ but 12 different finishing processes), all of which were produced and exhibited for the first time here with 112,473 visitors. The show subsequently toured internationally, at the Natural History Museum of Denmark, Copenhagen (13 April –1 September 2019), and the V&A at the Design Society, Shekou, Shenzen, China (opening 2020) with further dates to be added up to 2024. |
