Half Way To Cloud Mountain

This is the sixth book I have written, designed and disseminated.

This time I purposefully turned my attention to story-writing and once again worked with an appropriate illustrator. The outcome has a satisfying and inviting 'naive' aesthetic designed to invite and involve a broad audience. 'Half Way To Cloud Mountain' is a hand-bound limited edition, and is the latest development of my central Research project, to explore various vehicles by means of which a contemporary artist can develop writing as practice.

These books are also purposefully designed as affordable modular items which, along with my work with photography, cinema, technologies, popular music and popular culture also cultivate an area of contemporary art relatable to those from working class backgrounds who, like me, may not feel that the art gallery is necessarily the best and most appropriate destination for our life-stories, works, cultural interests and values.
