Description: | Guest Curator Decolonising the Art Curriculum Project. ‘Made in Jamaica’ exhibition, part of practice-led Knowledge Exchange project ‘Disruptive Leadership: Creating Sustainable Global Futures’ 2018–2021. The exhibition was a collection of artefacts, books and articles marking significant tipping points in Salmon's career and leadership practices evidence the need for a decolonisation of the curriculum and include diversity of cultural references. In-line with London College of Communication Design School manifesto pledges: ‘We believe in the value of interrogating the past to shape our futures’ Salmon believes decolonising the curriculum is a journey, not a destination that requires transformative educational and cultural leadership strong in emotional capital. The Poster was exhibited at the launch of ‘Decolonising the Curriculum’ at Central Saint Martins 2019 to an engaged community of students and staff of diverse cultural backgrounds. |
