| Description: | I curated this event and presented a short paper "Isttoán – Knife" working through the digitisation of a British Museum collection item AM.2652, a hybrid of Blackfoot and UK workmanship, its contexts, itinerary and the politics inherent in its hybridity. A public networking event presenting transdisciplinary imaging/sensing practices as a context for the Mootookakio'ssin [Distant Awareness] and Concepts Have Teeth projects as part of UAL Research Season. These projects funded by the New Frontiers Canada Research Council and the AHRC seek to connect the Blackfoot people of North America with their belongings held in UK Museum Collections. This event will be hosted virtually on Treaty 7 territory through the University of Lethbridge, Canada. |
