Replace Me

Taking its title from a work of sculpture by visual artist Rosemarie Trockel, this book examines the politics of replaceability through the lens of contemporary literature and art. Taking in an array of literary works, and the visual art of Trockel, Helen Chadwick, Otobong Nkanga, Revital Cohen and Tuur Van Balen, the book conducts an assessment of the psychic toll of neoliberal ideology and the nature of desire in the political subject.
