Description: | For the Educating Creatively Conference at Storyhouse, I designed and produced bespoke zine templates applied at a session to initiate the conference as a means to engage conference participants creatively with the conference and its themes. The method functions as an invitation to gather materials, notate impressions, and start to synthesise knowledge and form notional impressions that can be the basis of more considered analysis. This approach addresses forms of accounting for experience that are formed as artistic responses and design propositions alongside textual notations to give a holistic sense of an experience or a problem and how to move forward from it. Previous applications of this method include: research sessions at University of Vic (May 2017), Storyhouse (March 2018), and University of HAMK (Hämeenlinna, March 2019). An NHS North West R&D RSA session (Liverpool, May 2018) and a workshop at Zamek Cieszyn (Poland, January 2018). |
