Description: | This digital video uses the popular "shipping diagram" meme shared on fandom sites like tumblr circa 2010s to explore how shipping (the erotic pairing of characters unsubstantiated in the 'canon' text/media) can be applied as a creative and critical methodology in practice. Based on one of the world's most famous and controversial "ships" Larry Stylinson (Harry Styles and Louis Tomlinson of Boyband One Direction) it also incorporates possible multi-fandom crossover narratives by using the diagram as a prompt for an array of 'what if' fanfiction pairings. |
