Description:	This interview with Vivek Vadoliya was conducted by Jay McCauley Bowstead & Charlie Athill for their special issue of Critical Studies in Men's Fashion entitled ‘Globalizing Men’s Style’. Vivek Vadoliya is a British Indian photographer and director. His 2019 film Kasaragod Boys investigates an online subculture of boys based in Kasaragod in Kerala (South India) who call themselves ‘Freakers’. The film seeks to break through the online personae of the Freakers to examine who they are offline. In this way, Vadoliya explores the ‘hyper digital’ nature of contemporary India and the ways in which identity and masculinity is expressed online.
