Jackson, Melanie (2003) Some things you are not allowed to send around the world. [Show/Exhibition]
Type of Research: | Show/Exhibition |
---|---|
Creators: | Jackson, Melanie |
Description: | This exhibition consisted of a complex installation of publications, architectural models, animation and video works. The work grew out of an ongoing research interest regarding found stories and news media, and was developed through collecting newsprint, video footage and other printed materials. Jackson set out to establish a new working methodology whereby as many foreign and international news sequences and newspapers were collected as possible without leaving London. This set up the paradigm of understanding international events and locations from our own homes. |
