Paper delivered as invited speaker at 'Land Music: sound practices in the age of ecological crisis' symposium discussing two works Today I want to talk about two works, or rather the stories behind them in relation to Land Music Sound and Struggle.

The first work is "From Marching Band to Marching Band (or the very extraordinary relationship between the UK peace movement and the Ethiopian Army)" was orenmiered in a concert the evening before.

The other work, ‘Sandy Jaffas’, was made in 2015 in collaboration with pupils and staff from the Gaelic class at Sgoil Lionacleit, Benbecula, as well as members of the Comann Eachdraidh Uibhist a Tuath (North Uist Historical Society) and South Uist Historical Society. The project was supported by Museum nan Eilean.
