Type of Research: Conference, Symposium or Workshop Item
Creators: Stevenson, Nina and Bonnelame, Natasha
Description:

All of our endeavors at CSF seek out collaboration and connection across the spheres of education, research and knowledge exchange. As a UAL Research Centre, CSF is committed to ensuring knowledge is not only preserved for those within the institution. Online learning facilitates the creation of massive cohorts of learners in diverse demographics and global locations, enabling a range of learning modes including continuing professional development and lifelong learning.

This conversation discusses how by bringing together CSF research, education and KE practice with digital learning new opportunities can emerge both inside and outside UAL.

This conversation will:
· Draw on CSF’s ongoing collaboration with LCF’s Digital Learning team.
· Discuss and review learnings from a range of projects including CSF x Kering co-created Masters curriculum; CSF online courses Fashion & Sustainability and Fashion Values: Nature (Massive Open Online Courses hosted on FutureLearn, more than 80,000 learners to date); blended delivery of Fashion & Sustainability at LCF.
· Consider the opportunities for UAL tutors to benefit from these courses to embed design for sustainability into UG and PG courses.
· Discuss learnings from LCF’s digital delivery of formal teaching & learning in response to COVID pandemic.
· Consider how can these learnings contribute to the transformation of fashion education to put planetary health and human equity first.
