Description: | Based on my practice as an exhibition-maker and curator, this paper explores relationships between autobiography and etymology of 'queer', examining how a 'queer' curatorial practice can impact on not only the subjects engaged with but also the approach to exhibition-making. Examples reference include the exhibitions 'Gluck: Art & Identity', (Brighton Museum and Art gallery, 2017) and Derek Jarman 'Queer' (Manchester Art Gallery, 1992). |
