Description: | This story is one of a series of pieces where I wrote through a short story called Rashomon by Ryunosuke Akutagawa. For this piece, I extracted all the verbs, and then reused them in the same order to make a new short story. This story, whilst standalone, is part of a larger body of creative work about waste. This iteration of the story was published by Sublunary Editions as their October 2020 subscriptions mail out, and was published alongside Jay Merill's Poem on Gertrude Stein. From the website: "Sublunary Editions started as a small-scale, DIY project by Joshua Rothes in early 2019. For the first several months, the press's sole output was a regular envelope of new writing mailed (the old fashioned way) to subscribers. Since then, the press has expanded to publish 10-12 brief books every year, along with a quarterly magazine, Firmament, and our archival series, Empyrean". |
